Compatibility Guide

Ordering the correct replacement part is critical to a successful repair. This guide will help you identify the right part for your device. When in doubt, contact us before ordering — we're happy to help confirm compatibility.

General Rule: Match by Part Number, Not Appearance

Many replacement parts look similar but are electrically different. Always match by the exact part number or model number printed on your original component, not by visual appearance alone.

How to Find Your Part Number

TV Parts

  • Main Board / T-Con Board: Look for a white silkscreen label printed directly on the PCB. Common formats: BN94-XXXXX (Samsung), 6870C-XXXX (LG), 715GXXXX (various).
  • Power Supply Board: The board number is usually printed near the connector area. Example: PSLF-XXXX, BN44-XXXXX.
  • LED Backlight Strips: Match by your TV model number AND panel code (found on a sticker inside the TV). Strips for the same TV model may differ between panel manufacturers (e.g., Samsung vs AUO vs LG panel).

Projector Parts

  • Lamp / Bulb: Match by the lamp model number printed on the lamp housing. Do NOT match by projector model alone — some projectors accept multiple lamp types. Example: ELPLP97 (Epson), 5J.JEE05.001 (BenQ).
  • DMD Chip: The DMD model is printed on the chip itself. You must disassemble the projector to see it. Common formats: 1910-XXXX, 1076-XXXX.
  • Color Wheel: Match by the part number on the color wheel hub, not the projector model.

Laptop / Computer Parts

  • LCD Panel: The exact panel model is on a sticker on the back of the screen (visible after removing the bezel). Example: LP156WH4-TLN1, B156XW02 V.6. The same laptop model may ship with different panels.
  • Keyboard: Match by the FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) number or the keyboard's physical layout, ribbon cable position, and connector type.
  • DC Power Jack: Match by laptop model AND check the jack's physical dimensions and pin configuration (center pin size, number of pins).
  • Battery: Match by the battery part number (e.g., 45N1113 for Lenovo) or the laptop model. Check voltage and connector type.

Phone Parts

  • Screen Assembly: Match by phone model AND variant (e.g., iPhone 11 vs iPhone 11 Pro — these are different screens). Note whether you need LCD or OLED (some models offer both).
  • Battery: Match by phone model. Be aware that some models have different batteries for different regional variants.
  • Charging Port Flex: Match by phone model. Some models have multiple revisions of the same part.

Laser Optical Pickups

  • Laser Lens / Pickup: The model number is printed on a sticker on the metal housing of the pickup assembly. Common series: KSS-213C, KSS-240A, SF-HD850, HOP-1200W. Do NOT match by the device model (CD player, DVD player, console) — always go by the pickup number.
  • Note: Some pickups require removing an anti-static solder blob before installation. The solder blob is visible as a small solder bridge on the flex cable — it protects the laser diode during shipping. If not removed, the pickup will not read discs.

Remote Controls

  • Match by the original remote model number (usually printed inside the battery compartment or on the back). Example: BN59-XXXXX (Samsung), AKB75095307 (LG).
  • Many universal remotes also list compatible TV/projector brands and models. Check the product description for compatibility lists.

Photos Help — Send Them

  • Clear photos of your original part (showing any labels/stickers with model numbers)
  • Photos of the device's model label
  • Photos of connectors (for cables, flex cables, and board-to-board connections)

Installation Note

Installing electronic components requires care and, in many cases, professional skill. We recommend:

  • Use proper ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection — a grounded wrist strap and anti-static mat
  • Take photos of all connections BEFORE disconnecting anything
  • Handle ribbon cables and flex connectors gently — they can tear or develop micro-fractures
  • Never force a connector — if it doesn't fit, it's likely the wrong orientation or wrong part
